No. The free tier is a complete cooking app: 25 recipe imports to start (then 5 a week), hands-free cooking mode, meal planning, grocery lists, pantry, and per-recipe nutrition.
Your first 25 recipe imports are free with no time pressure — take a week or a year. After that, free accounts get 5 imports every 7 days. Unused imports don't roll over.
Yes. Marinaid Pro has Apple Family Sharing enabled, so one purchase covers up to five other people in your Apple Family at no extra cost. Each Apple Family member gets their own private recipe library. Apple Family Sharing shares the subscription, not your recipes.
A Marinaid Household lets you, and up to five other people, share one recipe library, meal plan, and grocery list.
You keep every recipe. Marinaid stores your library in your own iCloud account, not on our servers, so cancelling Pro just returns you to the free tier's import allowance and hides the Pro-only features. Nothing is deleted.
Yes. Your recipes live in your private iCloud database — we can't read them. Recipe parsing, photo OCR, and the Apple Intelligence features all run on your device. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
Marinaid donates 10% of revenue — not profit — to hunger-relief organizations, before we cover our own costs. We'll name our partners and report on our giving each year, so it's something you can hold us to.Read our mission.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions → Marinaid, or use Manage Subscription inside the app under Account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period.
